About Me

sammyoz
Sydney, NSW, Australia
I'm currently studying for a Masters degree in Digital Communication & Culture at USYD. My BA major was Sociology and I have a keen interest in new media and ICTs. I believe that digital media will become more immersed in human interactivity. The Cyborg is born. The connection between humans and technology is widespread. Those who wear glasses; those who have an artificial limb or organ; even those who communicate with technology may be considered a Cyborg. It is simply the amalgamation of technology into the human existence. With access to digital media I can now create, design, style, share, direct, advertise, promote, market, buy, sell anything I wish. The anonymity of the web also allows for a playing field that is open to everyone. Virtual spaces symbolize the type of societal qualities and equalities that are desperately needed in the world today. Let's just hope that certain governing bodies do not try to destroy the freedom of the web. I truly hope that the internet will remain to offer everyone free access to everything with no restrictions. In my spare time, I rock on, I chill out, I think and I philosophize; then I chill out again. Therefore, I am!
